Any member of the New Brunswick Kennel Club who is debarred or deprived
privileges
of the Canadian Kennel Club will automatically be deprived of their
membership
with the New Brunswick Kennel Club.
Any person prosecuted and found guilty of cruelty to any animal cannot

revoked.
Members will undertake the task of educating and encouraging all
novices
to the world of purebreds, no matter their interest; pet owner,

Members shall maintain good health and welfare of their dogs and at all
times
be a positive role model for dog ownership.
The New Brunswick Kennel Club considers it unethical for any member to
sell
dogs to pet stores or wholesalers dealing in dogs or to knowingly sell
to
any person who sells to pet stores or wholesalers. They should
not
knowingly allow any of their dogs to be used in raffles, lotteries,
auctions
or as competition prizes.
Member breeders are encouraged to accept responsibility for any and all
puppies
or adults sold, regarding temperament, neglect, abuse or abandonment.
Members agree to deal honorably and honestly with regard to other
members,
contracts originating from them, and the general public.
Any member feeling there is just cause to file a complaint against
another
member will do so in writing to the Ethics Committee with a $10.00
remittance.
Upon investigation, if the complaint is deemed valid, the remittance
will
be returned to the complainant. Should the complaint be deemed
unfounded,
the New Brunswick Kennel Club will retain the $10.00 remittance.
Member breeders shall breed in accordance with the Canadian Kennel Club
regulations,
and only with healthy, mature animals of sound temperament that adhere
to
the standard of the breed.
Member breeders are encouraged to provide appropriate documentation
with
regard to pedigree, registration, health and testing of dogs in a
breeding
or sale.
Members agree to conduct themselves at all times in a manner that
reflects
credit upon themselves, the Club and the sport of purebred dogs.
Members will not have unspayed or un-neutered non-purebred dogs which
they
own on their premises.
No membership will be considered valid until this Code of Ethics is
